The war launched by Israel against Iran on June 13 has killed at least 610 people and wounded more than 4,700, according to a new tally released by the Health Ministry on Tuesday.
"Over the past 12 days, horrific scenes have filled hospitals," Ministry spokesman Hossein Kermanpour wrote on Twitter.
The spokesman noted that the toll includes only civilian casualties.
Among the dead were 13 children, the youngest of whom was a two-month-old baby, according to the Health Ministry, in addition to five doctors or paramedics killed in Israeli strikes.
An earlier tally released Saturday had put the death toll at more than 400 and the injury to 3,056.
The Health Ministry also reported that seven hospitals and nine ambulances were damaged by Israeli strikes.
