The United States has lifted a series of economic and trade restrictions on China

China's Ministry of Commerce announced on Friday that the United States has lifted a series of economic and trade restrictions on China, stressing that dialogue and cooperation are the right path forward.

A spokesperson for the ministry made the remarks in response to a media inquiry regarding recent reports that some Chinese companies had received notices from the US Department of Commerce regarding the resumption of exports to China of products such as electronic design automation software, ethane, and aircraft engines.

The spokesperson was quoted by the agency as confirming that following the recent China-US economic and trade talks held in London, the two sides reached operational details to implement the important consensus reached by the two heads of state during their phone conversation on June 5 and to consolidate the results of the economic and trade talks held in Geneva.

As part of this process, according to the same source, China is reviewing export license applications for controlled goods that meet the requirements, in accordance with laws and regulations. The United States has taken corresponding steps to remove some restrictive measures and has informed the Chinese side of this, the spokesperson said. The spokesman described the framework reached during the economic and trade talks in London as "hard-won," stressing that dialogue and cooperation are the right path forward.

It is worth noting that, following talks in Geneva, Switzerland, in May, Washington and Beijing agreed to a truce in the trade war and agreed to a temporary significant reduction in mutual tariffs.
