Club World Cup: Real Madrid continues to lead the most profitable clubs with around 73 million euros.

Real Madrid, under the leadership of coach Xabi Alonso, continues to lead the ranking of the highest-earning clubs in the current edition of the Club World Cup, after reaching the semi-finals following a thrilling 3-2 victory over Borussia Dortmund, bringing its total earnings in the tournament to €72.89 million so far.

According to the Spanish newspaper Marca, Real Madrid's qualification to the semi-finals came with a direct prize money of €18.06 million, putting it ahead of its closest competitor in the prize pool, Paris Saint-Germain, which has collected €66.43 million so far.

Brazilian club Fluminense comes in third with €52.32 million, followed by English club Chelsea with €50.83 million.

FIFA has allocated a record $1 billion (approximately €860 million) to be distributed among the 32 participating teams in this expanded edition of the World Cup, which is being held for the first time in a format similar to that of a national team tournament.

In addition to the four qualified teams, major clubs have also made significant financial gains despite their elimination from the tournament, including Bayern Munich, Borussia Dortmund, and Manchester City (over €40 million each), Palmeiras and Inter Milan (over €30 million), and Al-Hilal of Saudi Arabia (€29.39 million).

The two semi-final winners of the Real Madrid-Paris Saint-Germain and Fluminense-Chelsea matches will receive an additional €25.8 million, while the final winner will receive €34.3 million.

Therefore, if Real Madrid wins the title on Sunday, July 13, at MetLife Stadium in New Jersey, its total prize pool will rise to €132.99 million.
