Microsoft unveils the first portable version of the Xbox

Microsoft unveiled the first portable Xbox consoles, presented as a new way for gamers to access a wide range of video games wherever they are.

The Rogue Xbox Alley and Alley X were designed in partnership with ASUS and will be available for the holidays, Xbox executive Sarah Bond announced during the online presentation.

"Xbox Alley is a portable console that combines the power of Xbox with the freedom of Windows," Bond explained.

"With this Xbox, you can play games found across our entire office, including those available in the Windows game stores, whether it's Xbox Store, Battle.net, Steam, Good Old Games, or Ubisoft Connect."

Microsoft said pricing and specific release dates for the consoles will be announced in the coming months.

The design of the two consoles is similar to the original design of the game, with the same buttons and controllers, but they are longer.

"The Xbox One and Xbox One X are excellent for gamers looking for the ability to play on the go or while waiting for their flight," Microsoft explained in a statement.

The announcement comes days after the launch of the Switch 2, designed by Japanese giant Nintendo.
