Google Adds New Automated Task Management Capabilities to its Gemini Assistant

Google has announced a new feature for its Gemini Assistant, called "Scheduled Actions," aimed at transforming the assistant into a more effective and organized tool in daily life.

According to press reports, the new feature allows users to set tasks to be executed automatically at a later time or when a specific condition is met, using natural voice commands without the need to set an alarm or manual reminder.

Gemini can, for example, turn on the house lights at sunset or remind the user to turn off the stove after a specified time, if connected smart devices are available.

Gemini integrates with Google's suite of services, such as Calendar and Reminders, as well as being compatible with Google Home devices, allowing for actual execution of commands rather than simply storing them.

This update represents a qualitative shift for Google Assistant, transforming it from a conversational and inquiry tool to an interactive organizational platform that keeps pace with users' growing needs and effectively contributes to managing the details of their daily lives, amid the rapid development of artificial intelligence applications.
