Waves of Iranian missile attacks on Israel killed at least eight people overnight Saturday, including children, according to the Israeli ambulance service, after air raid sirens sent millions of people rushing to shelters.
In central Israel, at least four people, including a 10-year-old child, were killed and about 100 others injured in a missile attack, according to a Magen David Adom (MDA) spokesperson.
An additional 37 people were injured in the Shephelah area, the spokesperson added.
Israeli police confirmed in a post on the X platform that a strike in the Tel Aviv area killed several people and injured dozens.
After an earlier attack destroyed a three-story building in Israel's Western Galilee region late Saturday, MDA said three women were killed.
The ambulance service confirmed in a statement that two women died at the scene, while the third died in the hospital.
The ambulance service said that an Iranian missile struck a house in the Haifa area on Saturday, killing a woman in her twenties and wounding 14 other people.
A Magen David Adom spokesperson told Israel's Channel 12 that approximately 200 people were injured in Iranian missile strikes overnight.
On Saturday night, Israel announced that it was working to intercept a barrage of missiles fired from Iran and carry out simultaneous strikes on Tehran.
