2025 Club World Cup: Exceptional period for player recruitment from June 1 to 10, 2025

FIFA announced that clubs qualified for the Club World Cup, to be hosted by the United States (June 14-July 13, 2025), including Espérance Sportive de Tunis, will be authorized to recruit players for the tournament, which will run from June 1 to 10, 2025.

FIFA explained on its official website today, Wednesday, that in line with the regulations for the 2025 Club World Cup and the amendments to the regulations governing the status and transfer of players, all 20 member associations representing clubs in the premier competition have confirmed an exceptional period to enable all their clubs to register players, from June 1 to 10.

FIFA added that some players' contracts may expire in the middle of the competition, so it will allow participating clubs to replace and add up to six players during the competition phase, during a period limited between June 27 and July 3, 2025, within certain limits and in accordance with specific restrictions, including the need to make the relevant substitutions during an open period of the "normal" registration periods, noting that the aim of this is to encourage clubs and players whose contracts have expired to find an appropriate solution to facilitate their participation in the tournament.
